Cross-border strikes claim lives in Russia and Ukraine amid active frontline shifts

Deadly cross-border drone and missile strikes have hit sites across Russia and Ukraine alongside shifting ground combat. Ukrainian drone attacks in the Moscow region killed five people and injured at least ten, while another drone incident on a Black Sea beach in Krasnodar Krai left seven dead and roughly 40 wounded. In Leningrad Oblast, air defense interceptions ignited fires at Wildberries logistics facilities.

In Ukraine, a Russian strike on Kyiv resulted in nine fatalities and dozens of injuries. Ground reporting indicates ongoing intense fighting, including Russian tactical advances in Kharkiv Oblast near Artelne and Ukrainian counter-movements in the southern Donetsk region toward Uspenivka. Meanwhile, Belarus is reportedly establishing a new air assault brigade near its southern border with Ukraine.
