Ukrainian service members highlight administrative and supply challenges
Ukrainian troops, veterans, and medical staff have voiced concerns over military supply shortages, lack of rotations, medal distribution, and mobilization fairness.
Ukrainian service members, medical personnel, and veterans have raised concerns regarding institutional, logistical, and administrative challenges within the armed forces. Frontline surgeon Bohdan Zhuravel stated that prolonged deployments without rotations leave troops exhausted, warning that authorities have prioritized civilian interests over military needs. Logistics and supply issues also persist; drone unit commander Yurii Butusov noted that unit leaders must secure essential equipment independently due to a lack of institutional accountability in supply systems. Additionally, reporting by Українська правда highlighted systemic inequalities in official recognitions, with medals frequently retained by headquarters staff rather than frontline soldiers. To address broader recruitment concerns, service member Pavlo Kazarin called for comprehensive reforms to draft deferments and military medical evaluation boards to establish a fairer mobilization process.
