Polish prosecutors confirm armed Russian missile fell in Lublin region
Polish prosecutors confirmed an armed Russian Kh-101 missile landed in Lublin with no casualties, following massive strikes across Ukraine.
Polish prosecutors confirmed that the object that crashed in the Lublin region was an armed missile containing a "significant amount of explosives," rather than a drone. Prosecutor Marcin Kozak stated the weapon was likely a Russian Kh-101 missile.
Prime Minister Donald Tusk noted that while the missile was armed, the incident resulted in "no casualties, no destruction." Tusk stated there was no reason to believe Poland was intentionally targeted, attributing the airspace intrusion to Russia's massive aerial attack on Ukraine involving over 70 missiles and 280 drones.
The strikes devastated civilian infrastructure across Ukraine, particularly near Kryvyi Rih, causing multiple fatalities. Despite the incident, Tusk reaffirmed Warsaw's commitment to supporting Ukraine.
