A long-term deal between the US and Ukraine to co-produce Patriot air defense missiles will not be concluded before winter, US Envoy to NATO Matthew Whitaker confirmed.

The United States is unlikely to sign a long-term agreement with Ukraine to jointly produce Patriot air defense missiles prior to the upcoming winter, according to US Ambassador to NATO Matthew Whitaker.

In a recent interview with Fox News, Whitaker explained that while negotiations over Patriot technology remain unresolved for the immediate future, allied nations are actively collaborating on alternative defense projects. The US, Ukraine, and European partners continue working together on the co-production of other air defense hardware to bolster Kyiv's security needs.

Ukrainian officials have repeatedly urged Western allies to help expand domestic military manufacturing and reinforce air defenses against potential Russian attacks on energy infrastructure during the colder months.
