US prosecutors unseal charges against five Russian operatives accused of leading global sabotage and assassination plots against Ukraine's allies.

United States federal prosecutors in Manhattan have unsealed charges against five alleged Russian intelligence operatives accused of directing a global network to carry out assassinations and sabotage targeting supporters of Ukraine across North America and Europe.

According to the Department of Justice, the suspects recruited and funded operatives to conduct surveillance and execute attacks against targets perceived as aligned with Kyiv, including a June 2024 operation in Prague. All five defendants remain at large.

Concurrently, Denmark's Security and Intelligence Service reported at a Copenhagen conference that Russian operatives conducted targeted sabotage against Danish defense manufacturers producing military equipment for Ukraine. Danish officials characterized the actions as a significant escalation in Moscow's hybrid warfare operations.
