A US-Ukraine Patriot missile co-production deal will not be signed before winter, as Ukrainian drone strikes hit Russian commercial warehouses, leaving at least five dead.

US Ambassador to NATO Matthew Whitaker stated that a long-term agreement between Washington and Kyiv to co-produce interceptor missiles for Patriot air defense systems is unlikely to be finalized before this winter. Speaking in a television interview, Whitaker emphasized that joint efforts with Ukraine and European partners to manufacture other air defense equipment remain underway.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian drone strikes struck commercial distribution hubs across several Russian regions overnight. Local officials confirmed attacks targeting facilities associated with the e-commerce retailer Wildberries in the Moscow, Saint Petersburg, and Tver regions. Moscow Regional Governor Andrey Vorobyov reported that a strike on a warehouse near the capital killed at least five people and injured ten others, while the Russian Defense Ministry stated it intercepted incoming aerial targets.
