A US-Ukraine deal to co-produce Patriot interceptors will not be completed before winter, as drone strikes target warehouses in several Russian regions.

A proposed pact between Washington and Kyiv to co-produce Patriot air defence interceptors will not be finalised ahead of the coming winter, according to US Ambassador to NATO Matthew Whitaker. In a television appearance, Whitaker noted that negotiations for joint manufacturing of the advanced missiles remain a long-term goal, though collaboration on other air defence capabilities with European allies is proceeding.

Separately, Ukrainian drone attacks struck commercial logistics infrastructure inside Russia. Moscow Regional Governor Andrey Vorobyov stated that an attack on a warehouse killed five people and injured ten others. Additional drone incursions were reported against storage sites operated by e-commerce retailer Wildberries in the Saint Petersburg and Tver regions, while Russian defence authorities claimed to have intercepted numerous incoming unmanned aerial vehicles overnight.
