US authorities charged five alleged Russian agents over assassination plots targeting allies of Ukraine, as a German court convicted a man tied to a separate parcel bomb scheme.

United States prosecutors have unsealed charges against five individuals linked to Russian intelligence services for orchestrating a global sabotage and assassination campaign targeting supporters of Ukraine. Federal authorities stated that the network recruited operatives to conduct surveillance and carry out lethal attacks across North America and Europe, including an operation in Prague in June 2024. All five suspects remain at large.

In a parallel development, a regional court in Stuttgart, Germany, convicted a Ukrainian citizen over a Russian-backed parcel bomb scheme. Prosecutors revealed the plot involved mailing packages fitted with tracking devices from Germany to Ukraine to undermine public safety and disrupt European security.
