US federal prosecutors charged five alleged Russian agents over targeted assassination plots, while a German court convicted a suspect in a Russian parcel bomb scheme.

United States federal prosecutors have unsealed charges against five men connected to Russian intelligence services for orchestrating a global campaign of sabotage and targeted killings. According to an indictment filed in a Manhattan court, the network recruited operatives in the US and across Europe to surveil and attack individuals supporting Ukraine, including executing a June 2024 assault in Prague. The five suspects currently remain at large.

Concurrently, a regional court in Stuttgart, Germany, convicted a Ukrainian national involved in a Russian-directed scheme to transport incendiary devices via courier services. Prosecutors demonstrated that the operation aimed to disrupt public security through parcel bombs shipped from Germany to Ukraine.
