US prosecutors charged five alleged Russian intelligence agents with global assassination plots, while a German court convicted a man over a Kremlin parcel bomb scheme.

United States federal prosecutors in Manhattan have unsealed indictments charging five alleged Russian intelligence operatives with plotting targeted assassinations and sabotage against supporters of Ukraine across North America and Europe. The Department of Justice alleges the network recruited foreign operatives to surveil and attack targets, including an individual linked to a June 2024 incident in Prague. Federal officials stated that all five suspects currently remain at large.

Concurrently, a regional court in Stuttgart, Germany, sentenced a Ukrainian national for participating in a Kremlin-backed plot involving parcel bombs. Investigators revealed that the operation utilized tracking devices hidden inside international packages to disrupt logistics networks and compromise public security.
