US prosecutors charged five alleged Russian agents over assassination plots against Ukraine allies, as a German court convicted a Ukrainian national in a linked sabotage scheme.

United States federal prosecutors have unsealed charges against five alleged operatives linked to Russian intelligence services. The defendants are accused of orchestrating a covert campaign involving targeted assassinations, surveillance, and sabotage directed at individuals supporting Ukraine across Europe and North America. According to court filings in Manhattan, the network recruited operatives globally to execute lethal plots, including an attack in Prague in June 2024. All five suspects remain at large.

Concurrently, a regional court in Stuttgart, Germany, convicted a Ukrainian national for participating in a Russian-directed parcel bomb scheme. German authorities stated the operation involved mailing packages containing tracking devices and explosives from Germany to Ukraine to disrupt public safety. Two accomplices assisted in managing the plot.
