US federal prosecutors have charged five alleged Russian intelligence agents with orchestrating targeted assassination and sabotage plots across Europe and the United States.

United States federal prosecutors have unsealed charges against five alleged Russian intelligence operatives accused of orchestrating assassination and sabotage plots targeting pro-Ukrainian figures in Europe and the US. According to an indictment unsealed in Manhattan, the covert network financed operatives to conduct surveillance and execute attacks, including a June 2024 assault in Prague. All five suspects currently remain at large.

In a related development, a regional court in Stuttgart, Germany, convicted a Ukrainian national for participating in a Russian-directed parcel bomb scheme. Prosecutors established that the plot involved routing packages containing GPS tracking devices through logistics networks to disrupt infrastructure and compromise public trust in security.
