US prosecutors charged five alleged Russian agents over assassination plots, while a German court convicted a man over a Russian-linked parcel bomb scheme.

United States federal prosecutors have unsealed an indictment charging five alleged Russian intelligence operatives with orchestrating assassination, surveillance, and sabotage plots against individuals supporting Ukraine across Europe and North America. According to American authorities, the suspects remain at large after directing paid intermediaries to carry out attacks, including a June 2024 incident in Prague.

Concurrently, a regional court in Stuttgart, Germany, convicted a Ukrainian national involved in a Russian state-linked scheme that sent explosive parcels containing tracking devices across European delivery systems. German prosecutors stated that the operation aimed to disrupt critical infrastructure and undermine public confidence in regional security.
