US prosecutors charged five alleged Russian intelligence agents over global murder and sabotage plots, while Denmark reported Russian sabotage on defense firms.

The United States Department of Justice has unsealed charges against five alleged Russian intelligence agents accused of leading a global campaign of assassinations and sabotage against supporters of Ukraine. According to an indictment unsealed in Manhattan federal court, the network recruited operatives in the US and Europe to surveil targets, execute killings, and disrupt military infrastructure, including a June 2024 attack in Prague. All five suspects remain at large.

Concurrently, Denmark's Security and Intelligence Service stated that Russian actors carried out physical sabotage against Danish defense companies manufacturing equipment for Kyiv. Danish officials described the operations as an escalation in Moscow's hybrid warfare strategy designed to undermine Western military assistance to Ukraine. Kremlin officials have consistently denied involvement in foreign sabotage activities.
