US authorities have charged five alleged Russian agents over assassination plots, while a German court convicted a man in a connected parcel bomb scheme.

United States federal prosecutors have unsealed an indictment against five alleged Russian intelligence operatives, accusing them of coordinating a global network to carry out targeted assassinations and sabotage operations against pro-Ukraine figures across Europe and North America. According to the U.S. Department of Justice, the suspects recruited and paid operatives to conduct surveillance and execute attacks, including a June 2024 incident in Prague. All five individuals remain at large.

Concurrently, a regional court in Stuttgart, Germany, convicted a Ukrainian national involved in a Russian-backed scheme to ship parcel bombs across European transport networks. Prosecutors stated that the operation was directed by an unnamed Russian state entity intended to disrupt logistics and breach public security.
