US prosecutors charged five alleged Russian agents over assassination plots, while a German court convicted a man over a parcel bomb scheme.

Federal prosecutors in the United States have unsealed an indictment against five alleged Russian intelligence operatives accused of organizing a global sabotage and assassination campaign. According to the U.S. Department of Justice, the network recruited individuals across North America and Europe to track and execute targets supporting Ukraine, including a June 2024 operation in Prague. All five suspects currently remain at large.

Concurrently, a regional court in Stuttgart, Germany, convicted a Ukrainian national for participating in a separate Russian-directed scheme. German prosecutors stated that the individual collaborated with accomplices to transport explosive-laden packages equipped with tracking devices from Germany to Ukraine. The operation was allegedly managed by a Russian state entity to undermine public safety.
