US and Iran exchange fire as Washington warns of further strikes

US President Donald Trump warns of further military action against Iran following strikes on Bandar Abbas and Sirik, while Tehran vows a firm response.
United States President Donald Trump has warned of potential additional military strikes against Iran following a recent exchange of fire targeting military sites in Bandar Abbas and Sirik. Trump asserted that Tehran is eager to negotiate a diplomatic agreement with Washington to halt further military escalation.
In response, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that Tehran does not seek a wider war but warned that his government will "decisively respond to aggressors." Meanwhile, Iranian naval officials rejected claims regarding severe damage to their military assets, asserting that their forces remain fully operational along the southern coast.
