US prosecutors charged five alleged Russian operatives over targeted assassination plots, while a German court convicted a man over a parcel bomb scheme.

United States prosecutors have unsealed indictments against five alleged Russian intelligence operatives accused of orchestrating assassination and sabotage operations across Europe and North America. According to court documents filed in Manhattan, the suspects recruited international operatives to monitor and kill individuals aligned with Kyiv.

In a parallel legal development, a regional court in Stuttgart, Germany, convicted a Ukrainian national for participating in a Kremlin-directed operation that utilized commercial package services to deliver explosives. German officials indicated that the parcel scheme was designed to undermine public confidence in regional security. The five Russian suspects named in the American indictment remain at large.
