US prosecutors charged five alleged Russian operatives over plots targeting Ukraine allies, while a German court convicted a man over a linked sabotage scheme.

United States federal prosecutors in Manhattan have unsealed an indictment charging five alleged Russian intelligence operatives with orchestrating targeted assassinations and sabotage operations across Europe and North America. According to authorities, the suspects recruited a global network to surveil and execute attacks against individuals supporting Ukraine, including a June 2024 attack in Prague. All five accused individuals currently remain at large.

In a parallel judicial development, a regional court in Stuttgart, Germany, convicted a Ukrainian national for participating in a Russian-backed plot. Prosecutors said the operation involved sending packages containing tracking devices and automotive parts across European transit routes to disrupt public confidence in regional security.
