Ukrainian service members and veterans have highlighted systemic issues in frontline supplies, medical commissions, troop rotations, and award distribution.

Ukrainian military personnel and veterans are calling for operational and policy reforms to address structural challenges within the armed forces.

Frontline medical worker Bohdan Zhuravel criticized prolonged deployments without rotations, warning that current government policies neglect service members' needs. Meanwhile, drone unit commander Yurii Butusov reported that unit leaders must personally secure basic supplies daily due to a lack of institutional accountability on the front lines.

Administrative and mobilization practices have also faced criticism. An investigation by Ukrainska Pravda highlighted inequalities in military awards, noting that commendations are frequently allocated to command staff rather than frontline personnel. Additionally, serviceman Pavlo Kazarin emphasized that targeted updates to military medical commissions and deferment policies are required to ensure equitable mobilization.
