Ukrainian service members highlight internal operational and logistical strains

Ukrainian military personnel and commentators have voiced growing concerns over systemic operational, logistical, and administrative challenges within the country's armed forces.

Frontline surgeon Bohdan Zhuravel warned that prolonged deployments without rotations leave troops feeling like "serfs," arguing that political focus remains excessively directed toward civilian concerns. Drone unit commander Yurii Butusov separately reported a persistent lack of institutional supply management, noting commanders must independently handle basic needs daily.

Furthermore, an investigation published by Українська правда criticized current military award practices, alleging that commendations are disproportionately assigned to command staff rather than frontline soldiers. To address mobilization equity, serviceman Pavlo Kazarin advocated for targeted reforms to military medical commissions and deferment policies to eliminate administrative loopholes.
