Ukrainian front-line farmers resort to personal weapons to defend against Russian drones

Ukrainian farmers near combat zones are taking up personal weapons to protect their land and workers from constant Russian drone attacks.
Agricultural operations near Ukraine's front lines increasingly require active defense measures against Russian aerial threats. Viktor Hordienko, a former international grain logistics manager who previously coordinated global export shipments, now patrols his farm near combat zones armed with a shotgun to neutralize hostile reconnaissance and strike drones.
His transition from high-level logistics to front-line self-defense illustrates the heavy toll Russian aggression imposes on Ukrainian civilians. Despite continuous danger, farmers along the front lines persist in harvesting crops and maintaining operations to safeguard vital food supplies and sustain the domestic economy.
