Ukrainian farmers adapt to front-line threats from Russian drones

Ukrainian agricultural workers near active front lines face mounting threats from Russian drone attacks while striving to maintain crop production. Viktor Hordienko, a former international grain logistics manager, reported taking direct defensive measures, including using small arms to protect his farm operations near combat areas. Before the full-scale invasion, Hordienko coordinated global grain shipments through Europe and Asia, but now focuses on safeguarding local infrastructure against aerial reconnaissance and strikes.

Despite constant hazards, local producers near the front line continue operations to bolster Ukraine's national economy and maintain food security. The ongoing conflict has forced agricultural managers to adopt tactical defense strategies to sustain critical farming activities.
