Ukraine's anti-corruption agency denies charges against its director after outgoing Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko issued allegations and departed the country.

Ukrainian anti-corruption authorities are locked in an escalating dispute after outgoing Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko announced a notice of suspicion against National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) Director Semen Kryvonos. Kravchenko publicly accused Kryvonos of forging official documents for financial gain and arranging a fake adoption to avoid legal prosecution, shortly before leaving Ukraine in a government car.

NABU and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) rejected the claims, stating Kryvonos was never formally served a notice. They described the allegations as a coordinated effort to derail investigations into a criminal network involving current and former lawmakers along with officials in the President's Office. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy subsequently requested that parliament swiftly remove Kravchenko from office.
