Ukrainian anti-corruption agencies have launched major operations targeting lawmakers, presidential officials, and an SBU officer amid statute of limitation concerns.

Ukrainian anti-corruption authorities have intensified enforcement operations, targeting high-level political figures and state officials. The National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialised Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAP) announced a joint special operation targeting a criminal organization allegedly led by current and former lawmakers, alongside officials from the Office of the President.

Concurrently, former Vice Prime Minister and ex-Ambassador to the United States Olha Stefanishyna received a notice of suspicion, leading her defence team to request a closed hearing before the High Anti-Corruption Court. In a separate action, NABU charged a Security Service of Ukraine officer for reportedly managing a 1 million UAH draft-exemption scheme.

These enforcement actions coincide with scrutiny over judicial delays, following the dismissal of several prominent corruption cases due to expired statutes of limitations.
