Ukraine warns of impending Russian missile strike following renewed attacks

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has warned that Russian forces may launch a large-scale missile attack within two days, citing intelligence reports. The warning follows widespread aerial bombardments across Ukraine.

Ukrainian Air Force officials reported that air defense systems intercepted 81 drones and neutralized one of three ballistic missiles directed at the Kyiv region. Air Force spokesperson Yurii Ihnat confirmed that two supersonic Onyx missiles launched toward southern Ukraine also failed to hit their targets.

Despite these interceptions, Russian bombardments resulted in civilian casualties. Emergency services reported that an aerial bomb attack on Zaporizhzhia injured 30 people, including seven children. In Kharkiv's Saltivskyi district, a drone strike near a residential high-rise damaged windows and left one person injured. Officials emphasized that high-level aerial threats remain active across the nation.
