Ukraine is advancing domestic missile production and procuring guided glide bomb kits to address critical air defense gaps and counter Russian ballistic attacks.

Ukraine is expanding domestic weapons development to address severe air defense shortfalls following intensified Russian ballistic attacks. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that domestic firms are working on long-range ballistic missiles, though mass manufacturing faces technological barriers. Additionally, securing American licenses and bureaucratic approvals to produce Patriot systems locally is expected to take several years.

To offset short-term vulnerabilities, the Ukrainian military is procuring the domestically developed "Equalizer" glide bomb kit. Created by DG Industry and the Brave1 incubator, the conversion system transforms unguided aerial bombs into precision munitions compatible with Soviet-era aircraft and modern Western fighter jets, aiming to diminish reliance on foreign arms supplies.
