The UK and Ukraine signed a defense AI deal, sharing battlefield data as military automation expands globally.

The United Kingdom and Ukraine have finalized a bilateral defense partnership focused on integrating artificial intelligence into military operations. Signed in Kyiv by Prime Minister Andy Burnham and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the agreement grants British researchers access to combat operational datasets from Ukraine's Avengers AI Labs.

The shared video footage and operational data will train British defense models to protect key infrastructure and military facilities from unmanned aerial attacks. Ukrainian commentators emphasized that battlefield automation offers crucial asymmetric advantages to preserve human capital during high-intensity warfare. Former Google chief executive Eric Schmidt noted that the conflict has sparked one of the largest revolutions in military history. Meanwhile, global military AI adoption accelerates, with China deploying specialized software to coordinate complex multi-target strikes.
