The UK and Ukraine signed a defense AI pact giving British researchers access to battlefield data, while global militaries expand autonomous defense technology.

The United Kingdom and Ukraine have signed a bilateral defense agreement focused on military artificial intelligence. Under the deal signed in Kyiv by British Prime Minister Andy Burnham and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Ukraine will provide UK researchers access to combat datasets through its Avengers AI Labs platform. The battlefield footage will assist in training algorithms to protect critical infrastructure against autonomous drone strikes.

Concurrently, Ukraine is accelerating front-line robotic deployments to preserve human capital amid intense combat operations. Former Google executive Eric Schmidt highlighted the conflict as a major historic turning point in military technology. Internationally, AI integration continues to advance, with China's People's Liberation Army implementing automated planning software designed to coordinate simultaneous strikes across hundreds of targets.
