Trump says Russia and Ukraine agreed to avoid energy infrastructure strikes

US President Donald Trump says Russia and Ukraine agreed to halt energy strikes, as EU sanctions are extended and fighting continues.
US President Donald Trump announced that Russia and Ukraine agreed to cease strikes against each other's energy infrastructure. The statement came as hostilities continued, with Ukrainian officials reporting two deaths and 14 injuries from Russian shelling in Kherson, while Russian authorities said Ukrainian drone attacks wounded seven people in Sochi and the Belgorod region.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree dismissing the nation's prosecutor general. In Brussels, the European Union renewed sanctions against Moscow. EU Foreign Policy Chief Kaja Kallas and French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot denounced a Russian attack on a train near the Polish border, stating the action was designed to intimidate and divide European allies.
