US President Trump announced a mutual agreement between Russia and Ukraine to halt strikes on energy infrastructure as fighting and diplomatic maneuvers continue.

United States President Donald Trump stated that Russia and Ukraine have agreed to stop targeting each other's energy infrastructure. The announcement coincided with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signing an executive decree to dismiss Ukraine's national prosecutor general.

Simultaneously, the European Union formally extended its sanctions against Russia. European Union Foreign Policy Chief Kaja Kallas and French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot warned that a recent Russian strike on a train near the Ukrainian-Polish border was an effort to intimidate and divide European partners.

Meanwhile, military operations continued across several regions. Ukrainian officials reported two deaths and 14 injuries from Russian shelling in Kherson. Russian officials stated that Ukrainian drone strikes injured seven people across Sochi and the Belgorod region.
