Trump presses Iran talks as US delays Ukraine Patriot deal and drone strikes hit Moscow
U.S. President Donald Trump cited rapid Iran talks as a last chance for a deal, while the U.S. delayed a Patriot missile agreement with Kyiv and Ukrainian drones hit Russian warehouses.
U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that talks with Iran are progressing quickly, describing them as Tehran's "last chance" to secure a comprehensive agreement, while reiterating that American forces remain fully prepared. Regional partners, including Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, reportedly support the ongoing dialogue.
Concurrently, U.S. Ambassador to NATO Matthew Whitaker indicated that a joint production deal with Ukraine for Patriot air defense interceptors will not be finalized prior to this winter, though broader defense cooperation with European allies is proceeding.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian drone strikes targeted facilities belonging to Russian e-commerce company Wildberries in the Moscow, Tver, and Saint Petersburg regions. Moscow Regional Governor Andrey Vorobyov reported at least five fatalities and ten injuries following an attack near the capital, as Russian air defense systems intercepted several incoming drones overnight.
