Trump cites final chance for Iran deal as US delays Ukraine missile agreement
US President Trump cited ongoing talks with Iran as a final chance for a deal, while NATO's Whitaker noted delayed Patriot interceptor production with Ukraine, and strikes hit near Moscow.
U.S. President Donald Trump announced ongoing rapid negotiations with Iran, describing them as the nation's "last chance" to secure a comprehensive agreement. The talks reportedly have backing from regional partners, including Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, while Washington maintains military readiness.
Simultaneously, U.S. Ambassador to NATO Matthew Whitaker confirmed that a proposed joint production agreement with Ukraine for Patriot air defense interceptors will not be finalized before winter, despite ongoing defense cooperation with European allies.
In Russia, Ukrainian drone attacks struck facilities belonging to e-commerce firm Wildberries across the Moscow, Tver, and Saint Petersburg regions. Moscow Regional Governor Andrey Vorobyov confirmed at least five deaths and ten injuries following a strike near the capital.
