Former captain Aleš Čeh and forward Jan Mlakar have shared insights into their coaching and playing careers in Slovenian football.

Former Slovenian national team captain Aleš Čeh and striker Jan Mlakar have provided reflections on their respective careers and the state of Slovenian club football.

Čeh, who served as captain during Slovenia's qualification for major international tournaments, discussed his transition into coaching following his playing career. He highlighted his more than decade-long tenure alongside former national team coach Srečko Katanec, which included seven years working in Asia. Čeh expressed lasting ties to Olimpija Ljubljana and Austrian side Grazer AK, while acknowledging his respect for Maribor.

Separately, Ljubljana-born forward Mlakar addressed his third stint with Maribor, confirming that he had never been close to signing with his hometown club Olimpija. Mlakar noted that although Olimpija currently faces internal challenges, upcoming rivalry matches allow struggling teams an opportunity to rebuild momentum during the season.
