Russian shelling across Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk region has killed at least five people and injured 16 others over 24 hours, local emergency services reported.

At least five people were killed and 16 others sustained injuries following a series of Russian bombardments across Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk region over a 24-hour period, according to local emergency services. Russian forces reportedly launched nearly 60 strikes targeting five separate districts throughout the area.

The heaviest losses occurred in the Kamianske district, where three fatalities and five injuries were confirmed. In Pavlohrad, shelling left two dead and seven injured, while additional casualties were recorded in the Nikopol district. The intense strikes sparked widespread fires and inflicted significant damage on civilian infrastructure, prompting emergency crews to deploy across the region to extinguish blazes and assist survivors.
