Russian missile barrage targets Ukraine as Kyiv retaliates against Russian energy sites

Russian forces conducted widespread missile strikes across Ukraine while Ukrainian forces targeted oil facilities in deep-rear Russian regions.
Russian forces launched an extensive wave of missile strikes targeting multiple regions across Ukraine, following warnings from President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of an imminent attack. Explosions and ballistic missile impacts were recorded in Kyiv, Dnipro, and Vinnytsia, while Ukrainian air defense units intercepted incoming cruise missiles in the western region of Lviv.
Concurrently, intense combat continued along the front lines, where Ukraine's General Staff reported 191 military engagements within 24 hours, with heavy fighting concentrated in the Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka sectors.
In response, Ukrainian forces executed long-range strikes against Russian strategic targets, including an export terminal in the Rostov region located roughly 250 kilometers behind front lines, alongside oil facilities in Yaroslavl and Udmurtia.
