Poland celebrated Armed Forces Day with a major military parade in Warsaw and a naval display in Gdynia, as Prime Minister Donald Tusk outlined key national security priorities.

Poland celebrated its annual Armed Forces Day on 15 August, commemorating the 1920 Battle of Warsaw with major national military events. The main celebrations featured a large military parade in Warsaw showcasing troops, armored vehicles, and aircraft, alongside a naval parade in the Baltic Sea off Gdynia.

Speaking at the PGZ Naval Shipyard in Gdynia, Prime Minister Donald Tusk emphasized national deterrence, stating that avoiding war requires strength and independence. Tusk outlined four key security pillars: secure borders, strong alliances, continuous defense investment, and a growing economy. Highlighting naval modernization under the Miecznik frigate program, Tusk stated that Poland aims to become a "maritime power" to ensure long-term national security. Military officials confirmed full readiness following dress rehearsals in the capital.
