Poland marked Armed Forces Day with major military parades in Warsaw and naval displays in Gdynia, as Prime Minister Donald Tusk highlighted national security pillars.

Poland celebrated Armed Forces Day on 15 August with major commemorations marking the anniversary of the 1920 Battle of Warsaw. Celebrations featured one of the largest military parades in the nation's history along Warsaw's Wisłostrada, alongside naval demonstrations in Gdynia.

Attending events in Gdynia, Prime Minister Donald Tusk outlined key priorities aimed at preventing conflict, stressing that "the country that wants to avoid war must have tight borders, durable alliances, investments in the army, and a developing economy." Tusk also highlighted naval modernization programs, including the construction of new frigates under the Miecznik initiative, asserting Poland's ambition to strengthen its maritime standing. Defense officials confirmed the military's full operational readiness for the nationwide events following extensive preparations.
