Poland celebrated Armed Forces Day with parades in Warsaw and Gdynia, as PM Donald Tusk outlined key national security pillars and naval expansion plans.

Poland celebrated Armed Forces Day on 15 August to commemorate the 1920 Battle of Warsaw, holding a military parade in Warsaw and a naval showcase in Gdynia. The national events featured land troops, armored vehicles, aircraft, and Polish Navy vessels.

Speaking from Gdynia, Prime Minister Donald Tusk outlined four key security pillars: tight borders, strong alliances, military investment, and economic growth. Visiting the PGZ Naval Shipyard where the Miecznik frigate program is underway, Tusk stated that avoiding war requires strength and declared: "Będziemy morską potęgą". Defense leaders, including Chief of the General Staff Wiesław Kukuła, confirmed full operational readiness following dress rehearsals along Warsaw's Wisłostrada.
