Poland marked Armed Forces Day with military parades in Warsaw and Gdynia, as Prime Minister Donald Tusk emphasized defense investments and national security priorities.

Poland commemorated Armed Forces Day on Thursday with nationwide celebrations, featuring a major military parade in Warsaw and a naval demonstration in Gdynia. The annual holiday marks the anniversary of the 1920 Battle of Warsaw.

Attending the naval parade in Gdynia, Prime Minister Donald Tusk outlined four key security priorities: secured borders, firm alliances, continuous defense investment, and economic growth. Tusk emphasized that deterrence is vital to maintaining peace, stating that "war will only be avoided by someone who is strong."

Additionally, Tusk visited the PGZ Naval Shipyard to view progress on the frigate Wicher, constructed under the Miecznik defense program, pledging to bolster national maritime power. Military officials confirmed full operational readiness for the events following preliminary rehearsals.
