Armed forces in Ukraine, Russia, and China are rapidly integrating artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, and advanced computing into military operations.

The global defense landscape is accelerating its adoption of artificial intelligence and unmanned systems across multiple operational spheres. In Ukraine, autonomous platforms and rapid development cycles are transforming battlefield doctrine, with former technology executives and defense officials noting a strategic pivot away from traditional heavy hardware toward continuous technological adaptation.

At the same time, automated capabilities are expanding across other armed forces. Ukrainian intelligence recently identified foreign-manufactured microcomputing components inside Russian munitions, pointing to the deployment of integrated AI guidance tools. In Asia, China's military has reportedly introduced dedicated software platforms engineered to automate and synchronize large-scale aerial operations. Meanwhile, operational limitations on commercial satellite communications like Starlink continue to influence long-range strike planning.
