Global armed forces and defense industries are accelerating the deployment of artificial intelligence, autonomous drones, and algorithmic strike planning.

Military forces worldwide are rapidly expanding the use of artificial intelligence and advanced commercial electronics in battlefield operations. Former Ukrainian defense minister Mykhailo Fedorov emphasized that Ukraine faces a fast-paced "technological war," where domestic drone production and automated systems have substantially deepened strike capabilities, even as operational limits remain on using commercial satellite networks like Starlink inside Russia.

Concurrently, former Google chief executive Eric Schmidt described the conflict as a historic shift toward autonomous warfare. Meanwhile, Ukrainian military intelligence reported discovering American-made microcomputers inside newly deployed Russian missiles, signaling automated guidance integration. In East Asia, China's People's Liberation Army has implemented an algorithmic system to automate and direct simultaneous large-scale airstrikes against hundreds of targets, underscoring the accelerating global shift toward algorithmically coordinated combat.
