France's Constitutional Council has validated the assisted dying bill with reservations while striking down a proposed social media ban for minors under 15.

France's Constitutional Council has approved the country's landmark end-of-life legislation, removing the final obstacle to legalizing conditional assisted dying and euthanasia. The court ruled the measure constitutional while issuing three interpretative reservations, including a conscience clause permitting private and faith-based medical institutions to refrain from performing the procedures. French President Emmanuel Macron praised the ruling, calling it the completion of a "débat démocratique exemplaire".

In a concurrent ruling, the Council invalidated a key provision of a digital safety bill that aimed to ban social media access for children under 15, declaring the general prohibition overly broad. Meanwhile, core elements of an emergency agricultural reform bill were upheld by the court.
