France's high court validated the assisted dying law with conscience reserves while striking down a general social media ban for under-15s.

France's Constitutional Council has validated a landmark bill legalizing assisted dying, clearing the final legal hurdle for its promulgation. While ruling that parliament acted within its constitutional authority on end-of-life legislation, the high court introduced three interpretation reserves, notably guaranteeing a conscience clause for private and religious healthcare facilities. President Emmanuel Macron commended the ruling, describing the process as completing an "exemplary democratic debate."

In contrast, the Council struck down Article 1 of a proposed social media ban for children under 15, ruling that a general prohibition disproportionately restricted personal freedoms and effectively invalidating a key presidential initiative. Additionally, the constitutional body approved key provisions of an emergency agricultural measure.
