EU warns Moscow over security threats as drone strikes hit Kyiv

Russian strikes hit Kyiv following Zelensky's UN address, while EU leadership warns Moscow over security incidents in Germany.
Russian forces executed new drone strikes across Kyiv, injuring a resident following Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's address to the United Nations General Assembly where he called Vladimir Putin "patient zero who wanted the war". The assault aligns with an announced Russian military campaign aiming to destroy Ukraine's energy infrastructure. Meanwhile, Ukrainian strikes on Russian refineries have forced Moscow to import fuel.
In Western Europe, German authorities identified two suspects linked to Moscow regarding explosive drone incidents near Leipzig. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen warned that the bloc "will not tolerate attacks on EU soil" and is ready to respond.
