Russian drones hit Kyiv following Zelensky's UN address, while EU officials warned Moscow over explosive drones discovered in Germany.

Russian forces conducted renewed overnight drone strikes against Kyiv, injuring a civilian following Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's address to the UN General Assembly, where he called Russian President Vladimir Putin "patient zero who wanted the war". Moscow subsequently announced an intensified campaign targeting Ukraine's energy grid, while Ukrainian strikes continued hitting Russian oil refineries.

Concurrently, European security concerns escalated after investigators identified two suspects linked to Moscow following the discovery of explosive drones in Leipzig, Germany. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen stated, "We do not tolerate attacks on EU soil," affirming Brussels' readiness to counter hybrid threats.
