Defence lawyers representing Yorgen Fenech have formally requested the dissolution of the jury in his ongoing trial, citing concerns that jurors could access news headlines on court-provided tablets. The procedural request was raised as the defence team began presenting its case.

During closing submissions, defence counsel questioned the prosecution's timeline and targeted the credibility of key state witness Melvin Theuma. Following the prosecution resting its case, Judge Edwina Grima is scheduled to address the jury before they retire for deliberations.
