Deadly cross-border strikes hit Ukraine and Russia as clashes intensify

Deadly cross-border bombardments and heavy frontline fighting have persisted between Ukraine and Russia, resulting in widespread casualties and infrastructure damage.

In Ukraine, Russian missile and drone strikes killed at least ten people in Kharkiv and nine in Kyiv, damaging homes, businesses, and transit facilities. On the battlefield, Russian forces made tactical gains near Artilne and Kostyantynivka, while Ukrainian troops advanced toward Uspenivka. Meanwhile, Belarus announced the formation of a new air assault brigade near the Ukrainian border.

Concurrently, Ukrainian drone operations struck multiple Russian regions. Drone impacts in Moscow Oblast left five dead and ten injured alongside a warehouse fire. In Leningrad Oblast, falling drone debris ignited a major blaze at a logistics facility in Krasny Bor. Additionally, a drone crashed onto a beach in Krasnodar Krai's Arkhipo-Osipovka, killing seven people and injuring about 40.
