Cross-border strikes and frontline clashes inflict heavy casualties across Ukraine and Russia

Intense fighting and mutual aerial strikes have continued across Ukraine and several Russian regions, resulting in widespread casualties and extensive damage.

In Ukraine, Russian missile and drone attacks killed at least ten people in Kharkiv and nine in Kyiv, hitting residential areas, commercial sites, and transit infrastructure. Along the front lines, Russian troops made tactical gains near Artilne and Kostyantynivka, while Ukrainian forces advanced toward Uspenivka. Meanwhile, Belarus announced the creation of an air assault brigade near the Ukrainian frontier.

Concurrently, Ukrainian drone strikes targeted several areas inside Russia. In Moscow Oblast, drone impacts left five people dead and ten injured alongside a warehouse fire, while falling debris ignited a major blaze at a commercial facility in Leningrad Oblast. Additionally, a drone crash on a beach in Krasnodar Krai killed seven people and injured roughly 40 others.
