Cross-border drone strikes and frontline clashes cause heavy casualties in Russia and Ukraine

A series of cross-border drone strikes and frontline combat have resulted in widespread casualties and infrastructure damage across Russia and Ukraine. Ukrainian drone attacks hit several Russian regions, causing seven deaths after a drone fell on a beach in Krasnodar Krai. In Moscow Oblast, official reports confirmed five fatalities and ten injuries, while intercepted drones triggered fires at Wildberries e-commerce warehouses in Leningrad Oblast.

Meanwhile, Russian strikes on Kyiv killed nine people and injured 33 others. On the ground, Russian forces achieved tactical gains near Artelne in Kharkiv Oblast, while Ukrainian troops advanced toward Uspenivka in Donetsk Oblast. Belarusian military authorities also announced the formation of a new air assault brigade near the Ukrainian border.
